more on the the route / map
The route starts in the main carpark and and takes you through lush woodland passing each landmark and waterfall until you reach the endpoint of the walk in Ingleton Village.
Starting from the carpark follow the sings for the ‘waterfall trail’ which will guide you down the path which follows the river Twiss. Heading up the river you’ll pass Swilla Glen and also have the chance to put a coin in the famous money tree for good luck!
After a lengthly stroll through nature you’ll soon arrive at Pecca Bridge and be able to see the first waterfall of the walk, Pecca Falls. Take some time to get some photos and admires it’s beauty. Shortly after the first waterfall comes the second, Hollybush Spout, this ones a little more powerful and shows some great contrast from Pecca.
Time for the big daddy, Thornton Force. This is the largest and probably most impressive waterfall on the walk. It’s also a perfect place to stop for a coffee or maybe even a spot to eat!
Beezley falls is next, the triple spout is part of the river Doe and is surrounded by stunning Oak woodland.
Next you’ll come to Rival Falls, here you’ll be able to witness some truly stunning views of the river Doe, there’s even a pool here which is rumoured to be about 80ft deep! (I don’t fancy checking)!
The sixth and final waterfall of the trail is Snow Falls, one of the smaller falls and easily missed if you don’t keep an eye out for it, don’t be mistaken though, it’s just as beautiful as the others!
If you need a bit more information or detail on the route, then you can check out an interactive map of the trail here.

- Bring some water – its important to stay hydrated especially in the hot summer days!
- Arrive early if you’re looking to take advantage of the free parking, the trails get very busy especially in peak season.
