I spent a night 1,375ft underground in the world's deepest hotel. Here's what it's actually like 👇 Hidden inside an abandoned Welsh slate mine, Deep Sleep Wales is unlike anything I've ever experienced before! Your expert guide kits you out with a harness and helmet before leading you on a 3-hour journey underground. You'll wade through pitch-black flooded caverns, abseil down abandoned mine shafts, and navigate pitch black tunnels. At the bottom? Five rooms: four cosy wooden cabins and the Grotto — the only room actually carved into the rock itself. A hot meal is waiting when you arrive, there are plenty of snacks, and yes… there's a real toilet. 🚽 No signal. No light pollution. Just silence. Think you could handle it?
