Punta Cana Blog

Heading on a holiday to the Dominican and looking for things to do? I’ve put together a short guide on the top 5 things to do in Punta Cana. The resort of Punta Cana is by far one of my favourite beach destination to date, the sand is golden, the water is a deep indigo and the whole place just screams paradise!

The Dominican Republic is a large Island in the Caribbean split into two countries; the Dominican and Haiti. The two weeks I spent there were unforgettable and I’d love to revisit this beautiful island and explore some more!

Here are the best bits and the top 5 things to do in the Dominican Republic:

Saona Island has everything. Untouched palm tree-lined beaches, the clear Caribbean Sea and best of all… No phone service. It’s the definition of a paradise island. The island was made famous back in the 80s by the Bounty chocolate bar advert!

You can get a day trip to the island from most hotels or local tour companies. There are often a few other stop offs at other beautiful locations. The beaches here are stunning and most of them have laid untouched for years. Make sure this one is at the top of your list. I even got to hold a starfish in the sea here!

It might be a little bit more expensive on the drinks side of things but you’re definelty in for a treat. The cocktails will well and truly be flowing and you’ll get some fantastic entertainments. Live acrobatics, famous DJs and much much more!
